Sodium phytate is an organic sodium salt, white hygroscopic powder, easily soluble in water, and its aqueous solution has a strong alkaline. Sodium phytate not only contains more sodium ions, can be used as reactive dye dyeing agent, but also has a certain alkaline, can be used as reactive dye fixing agent.

Phytic acid/sodium phytate is widely found in cereals, legumes and oil crops, and is widely used in the food industry as food antioxidants, bacteriostatic agents, color protectants, chelating agents and fresh-keeping agents. Sodium phytate is easily hydrolyzed under certain conditions, which can produce sodium inositol pentaphosphate, sodium inositol tetraphosphate, sodium inositol triphosphate, sodium inositol diphosphate, sodium inositol phosphate and inositol. Inositol triphosphate has the function of signal transduction in animal and plant cells. Inositol has anti-cancer and anti-aging effects.
