Isopropyl myristate is a colorless to yellowish thin oily liquid, odorless. Soluble in ethanol, ether.Soluble with water. It has good lubricity and permeability, and can improve the affinity to skin. It is a lower alcohol ester of higher fatty acids.

Isopropyl myristate has low greasy feeling, softening effect on skin and good permeability, and is a solvent and retention agent for pigments, spices and various additives. Low melting point, stable and not easy to hydrolyze, color and smell can meet the requirements of cosmetics, and it is an excellent ester raw material commonly used in cosmetics.
