Tilmicosin is a macrolide antibiotic, has inhibitory effect on gram-positive bacteria, some gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasma, spirochetes, etc.; it has stronger antibacterial activity than tylosin against Actinomyces pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella. It is used for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease and enzootic pneumonia caused by Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica in sheep.
pharmacodynamics: its Semisynthetic macrolide antibiotics for use in animals . Mycoplasma is relatively strong, and its antibacterial effect is similar to that of tylosporin. Sensitive gram-positive bacteria include staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, streptococcus, bacillus anthracis, erysipelas, listeria, clostridium putrefaciens, clostridium pneumoniae, etc. Sensitive gram negative bacterium has haemophilus, meningitis diplococcus, pasteurella to wait. The activity of bacteria against actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae pasteurella and mycoplasma of livestock and poultry was stronger than that of tylosin. 95% of the haemolytic pasteurella strains were sensitive to this product. Pharmacokinetic absorption is rapid after internal administration, characterized by strong tissue penetration and large distribution volume (> 2 L/kg). The lung concentration is high, the elimination half-life can be up to 1-2 days, the effective blood drug concentration for a long time.
