Product Description

Desloratadine is a non-sedating, long-acting tricyclic antihistamine, an active metabolite of loratadine that alleviates symptoms associated with hyperchronic idiopathic urticaria by selectively antagonizing peripheral H1 receptors. In addition, in vitro studies showed that this product inhibited the release of histamine from human mast cells. Animal studies suggest that this product does not easily cross the blood-brain barrier.
Desloratadine is a second generation of tricyclic antihistamine. It is a H1-receptor antagonist which has anti-inflammatory activity. Its affinity to the H1 receptor is higher than most other H1-receptor antagonists.
