What is Sodium Zinc Lactate?
Zinc lactate is a white powder with a solubility of 4.5g/100ml at room temperature, easily soluble in hot water and slightly soluble in ethanol, with a zinc content of about 23%. There is an asymmetric carbon atom in the lactic acid of zinc lactate, which has optical rotation. According to the optical rotation, zinc lactate can be divided into zinc L-lactate and zinc DL-lactate. Only L-lactate dehydrogenase exists in human bodies and animals, which can only decompose and absorb L-lactate, but not metabolize DL-lactate.
Functions of Zinc Lactate:
Zinc lactate zinc is a good food Enhancer for babies and has an important role in the intellectual and physical development of young people, better absorption than inorganic zinc. Provisions for dairy products in China, use of 30~60mg/kg (in terms of zinc,the same below); use of 25~70mg/kg in the infant food; used in cereals and their products of 5~10mg/kg; drinking fluids used in5~10mg/kg; in liquid in children with a maximum of 0.6~1.0g/kg (zinc lactate).
