Tragacanth Gum powder application
Properties: Colorless, tasteless and edible T-natural macromolecule with slimy taste. Some components of tragacanth easily dissolve in water to form true solution. The other component (tragacanth sugar) is easy to absorb water and dissolve into a gel-like substance. After full hydration, the 1% adhesive solution is smooth, thick, milky and non-adhesive gel-like liquid. The main feature of tragacanth gum is its gum properties under low acidity (pH < 2 =) conditions
Sex is not affected. It does not need to add other surfactants when used in oil-in-water emulsion stabilization system. Because tragacanth also has the function of reducing surface tension. Yarrow has a high solution viscosity. The aqueous solution with 1% concentration has assumed the characteristics of pseudoplastic fluid (with stirring effect). Therefore, it has the advantage of good pipeline transportation. Tragacanth is also insoluble in organic solvents such as alcohol and oils, and the pH value of the aqueous solution is generally between 4-5. The change of pH value of the colloidal solution is relatively stable. Temperature has no destructive effect on viscosity of glue solution. When heated, the viscosity of the glue solution decreases temporarily, but when the temperature drops to the initial value, the viscosity of the glue solution also returns to the initial value. Industrial application: Used as thickening agent, emulsifier, suspension agent, water holding agent, film forming agent.
Cosmetics: Oil and water stabilization system of cosmetics, such as hair lotion, face lotion, etc. (0.4-0.8%)
Food: acidic oil-water system of milk stabilizer, such as: French, Russian salad dressing; And other condiments, sweet and sour sauce.
Usage: Generally, the glue solution is prepared into the corresponding concentration and placed for 10-20 hours to fully hydrate the glue. If used in acidic conditions, adjust the pH value.
Storage period: It can be stored for a long time under cool, dry and sealed conditions.
