Rosuvastatin calcium is an anti-hyperlipidemia drug, a HMG CoA reductase inhibitor, developed by Astrazeneca in the United Kingdom for the treatment of a variety of lipid abnormalities, including hypercholesterolemia, mixed lipid abnormalities and hypertriglyceridemia alone.
