Product Description

Amitriptyline, known by its trade name Elavil, is one of the most widely used painkillers. Amitriptyline is used to treat many mental disorders, including major depression and anxiety, and is sometimes used to treat psychosis, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and bipolar disorder. Amitriptyline can also prevent migraines and treat fibromyalgia and postherpetic neuralgia. Mechanism of action As a tricyclic antidepressant, amitriptyline inhibits the reabsorption of serotonin and norepinephrine in the synaptic space of the central nervous system, thereby increasing the levels of these neurotransmitters in the brain.
