Oxybutynin hydrochloride, trade name Ditropan, ( -2-monobutynyl ester hydrochloride, is the United States Marion Pharmaceutical factory in 1975 to develop and market products, is a kind of anti-cholinergic effect of anti-smooth muscle spasmodic drugs. It has a strong selective effect on the smooth muscle of urogenital tract. It is characterized by increasing the volume of light and the volume of each urination, reducing involuntary shrinkage, and extending the interval time of two urination. Its antispasmolytic action is 4 ~ 10 times stronger than atropine, and its anticholinergic action is only 1/5 of atropine's. In addition, it also has the characteristics of fast oral absorption, small dosage and high safety. Clinically used for the treatment of bladder overactivity with urgent (tight) forced incontinence, urgency, frequency of urination and other symptoms.
