Introduction
Glucose is a six-carbon sugar containing aldehyde group, molecular formula is C6H12O6, is the most important monosaccharide in the body. Its main function is to provide the energy required for physiological activities of the body. It is known that 1mol of glucose thoroughly oxidizes 2870kJ(686kCal), accounting for 70%-80% of the total energy required by the body. In addition to energy supply, glucose is also a carbon source for human biosynthesis and an important precursor for lipid synthesis. It also provides the skeleton for the synthesis of essential amino acids in the body. Under normal circumstances, the concentration of glucose (blood sugar) in the blood is in dynamic balance, and the body has a whole set of mechanisms of nerve, liver, hormones and kidneys to regulate blood sugar concentration. The normal fasting blood glucose concentration is 3.8-6.1 mmol/L.
Uses D-anhydrous glucose is used in various metabolic processes, including the enzymatic synthesis of cyclohexyl-α and β-D-glucoside. It is involved in the detection of the most widely used hexaldose in type 2 diabetes and organisms. Its availability affects mental processes as it is the main source of energy for the brain.
D-anhydrous glucose is used as a nutrient in medicine, and is also used to make vitamin C and calcium gluconate. It can also be used to make syrup, candy, etc., and used as a reducing agent in printing and dyeing, tanning, mirror making and warm water bottles and other industries.
