Spectinomycin is produced by Streptomyces, it is a kind of amino glycoside by neutral sugar and amino cycloalcohol glycoside bond and become rapid bactericidal antibiotic, and its name is spectacular mycin. It is in the veterinary treatment of livestock and poultry clinical, mainly for the treatment of sensitive bacterial infection caused by Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella and mycoplasma caused by diseases.
Spectinomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with moderate activity against many Gram-positive and Gram negative bacteria. Spectinomycin exerts a bacteriostatic action and is inferior to other aminoglycosides for most systemic infections. Currently, it is recommended as an alternative to penicillin G salts for the treatment of uncomplicated gonorrhea. A cure rate of more than 90% has been observed in clinical studies for this indication.
Application:
Mainly used for the treatment of G- bacteria, mycoplasma and mycoplasma and bacterial co-infection. It is mainly used to prevent and control the infection of Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma in piglets.
