What is the L-Carnosine?
L-Carnosine (L-Carnosine) is a dipeptide (dipeptide, two amino acids) often present in the brain. The consequence of glycation is uncontrolled cross-linking of sugar molecules and proteins(sugar molecules). L-carnosine has potential antioxidant and anti-glycosylation activities. It is also a substrate for the detection of carnosinase, which maintains the pH balance of the body. L-carnosine is a dipeptide with strong antioxidant and anti-glycation activities.
L-Carnosine, or β-alanyl-L-histidine, is a crystalline solid dipeptide composed of two amino acids, β-alanine and L-histidine. Muscle and brain tissues contain high concentrations of carnosine. Carnosine has strong antioxidant capacity and is beneficial to the human body. Carnosine has been shown to remove reactive oxygen species (ROS) and α-β-unsaturated aldehydes that are formed by excessive oxidation of fatty acids in cell membranes during oxidative stress.
Application:
L-carnosine can be used for cell anti-oxidation, maintain body pH balance, and prolong cell life. L-carnosine has potential antioxidant and anti glycosylation activities.
