Glycyrrhizic acid is one of the deep-processed series products of liquorice extract. Glycyrrhiza glabra is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine, which is widely used in medicine, tobacco, food and other fields. Its main active ingredient, glycyrrhizic acid, has adrenocorticotropic hormone-like effects and can be used for detoxification, anti-inflammation, cough suppression, anti-tumour and so on. The glycoside of glycyrrhizic acid is glycyrrhizinic acid. In human body, glycyrrhizinic acid is hydrolysed by gastric acid or decomposed by β-glucuronidase in liver to form glycyrrhizinic acid. Recent pharmacological studies have found that the drugs of glycyrrhizic acid and glycyrrhetinic acid derivatives have the effects of anti-inflammatory, anti ulcer, anti allergy, anti-virus, reducing blood lipid, relieving cough, relieving asthma and eliminating phlegm. Chemicalbook can also be used to prevent and treat viral hepatitis, hyperlipidemia, cancer and other diseases. China is the main exporter of licorice. It is of great significance to carry out the deep processing and comprehensive utilization of licorice. |
