Apple (scientific name: Malus pumila) is a kind of fruit. It is a deciduous tree of the genus Malus in the subfamily Apple of the family Rosaceae. Apple fruit is rich in minerals and vitamins and is one of the fruits that people often eat.
There are thousands of apple varieties, which are divided into three major categories: wine varieties, cooking varieties, and food varieties. The three varieties have different characteristics such as size, color, fragrance, smoothness (and possibly crispness and flavor). Many varieties have high sugar content, medium acidity, and very low tannin content. Apple is a low-calorie food, producing only 60 kcal per 100 grams. The nutrients in apples are highly soluble and easily absorbed by the human body, so they are known as "living water". It helps dissolve sulfur and makes the skin smooth and tender [1]. It is said that "an apple a day keeps the doctor away".
Apple polyphenols are the general name for polyphenols contained in apples. Apple polyphenols contain chlorogenic acid, catechins, epicatechins, apple condensed tannins, phloridzin, phloridzin, anthocyanins, etc. Among them, apple condensed tannins account for about half of the total polyphenol content. This product uses high-quality apple juice as raw material and is extracted and refined using a special process.
