Alendronate Sodium is a bisphosphonate drug used for osteoporosis and several other bone diseases. And it used for prophylaxis and in treatment of female and male osteoporosis. It has been used for prevention and treatment of corticosteroid-associated osteoporosis together with supplements of calcium and vitamin D, and used for paget's disease.
Function:
1. This product is third-generation hydrocarbon phosphate bone resorption inhibitors, mainly deposited in bone resorption area of osteoclasts, the osteoclast is exposure to the surface than osteoblast surface in the large 10-fold. Drugs and bone hydroxyapatite in combination, do not interfere with osteoclast aggregation and adhesion, but inhibited the activity of osteoclasts and the release of H capacity.
