Griseofulvin is an antibiotics which is extracted from the cultivation of the fermented liquid of the Penicilli - um griseofulvum. Soluble in tetrachloroethane, soluble, slightly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in water. Odourless or almost odourless, taste bitter, on the thermal stability.
Griseofulvin is a non-polyene antifungal antibiotic that strongly inhibits fungal cell mitosis, interferes with fungal DNA synthesis, and binds to microtubulin to prevent fungal cell division. It has a strong inhibitory effect on ringworm, ringworm and ringworm.
