Zinc glycinate, white crystalline powder at room temperature and pressure, has good stability, biological activity and solubility, easily soluble in water. Zinc glycine is a metal zinc salt, can be prepared by the chemical reaction of glycine and zinc oxide, often used as a dietary supplement can be used to supplement the human body with zinc element, is a very effective zinc supplement, mostly used to treat zinc deficiency and enhance the immune system.
Zinc glycine has good stability, bioactivity and solubility. These properties make it overcome the shortcomings of low bioavailability of the second generation of food nutrition fortifier such as zinc lactate and zinc gluconate, and become the most ideal food nutrition fortifier. Zinc is absorbed in the small intestine, where zinc is a cofactor of polymerases and proteases and is involved in many cellular functions (e.g. wound repair, intestinal epithelial cell regeneration). Although zinc has many important roles in human physiology, there is no reliable data to support zinc supplementation (trace element) alone for people with normal zinc status. No recognized benefits of zinc have been found for the treatment of acute upper respiratory infections (also known as colds), wound healing, or HIV, and continued supplementation of zinc to tolerable upper intake levels is generally safe.
Zinc glycine can be dissolved in water to form an aqueous solution, and this solubility is an important property related to its application as a dietary supplement. Zinc glycine has good chemical stability, which makes it widely used in food and medicine fields.
