Citronella Essential Oil is the oil extracted from the plant Cymbopogon (lemongrass). It is well-known as an insect repellant.From Cymbopogon winterianus grown in China by steam distillation Jowitt essential oils obtained from fresh or semi-dried aerial leaves and stems.
Light yellow to brownish-yellow liquid with characteristic citronellal-like aroma, with green and astringent aromas of rose and lemon.
Mainly used for daily chemicals, such as soap, detergent, mosquito repellent, according to the need to use different dosage, the general dosage is 0.5~4%.
It is mainly used for solitary citronellal and geraniol to further synthesize citronellol, hydroxycitronellol, rosenol, menthol and other important spices; it can also be used in trace amounts to formulate edible flavors.
