Hirudin also called Leech Extract is the most significant active constituents, is dry leech extract and its salivary glands, and is a kind of small molecule protein (polypeptide) which comprised of 65-66 amino acids.
Leeches are dried bodies of leeches, leeches, or willowleaf leeches that are found in most parts of the country. Its taste bitter, salty, flat, have small poison, return to the liver channel, has the effect of breaking blood and expelling blood stasis, menses, eliminating disease. Leech salty bitter, can enter the blood, play the role of activating the channels.
And because of its return to the liver channel, the ability to break blood and expel blood stasis is strong. It is often used to treat severe cases of stasis, such as stroke hemiplegia, injury of falls and bruises, pain in the heart and abdomen caused by immobility of blood stasis, amenorrhea, mass and so on.
